I’m told frequently by competitors that they have no time for social media.  I just smile and shake my head.  I long ago abandoned explaining how thru social media I’m associated with thousand of real estate professionals around the world, know hundreds of local people I would’ve never met otherwise, and receive priceless education and information from both.

A classic example of how SM put cash in my hands is the night I needed a document from another state – NOW – (did I mention it was the middle of the night?!) — to close the following morning.  I didn’t have permission to access the website the document was stored on, so I sent out a request to my “tweeps” in that state.  Within minutes, I had copies of the document from 4 different sources.

There are countless other examples of how social media continues to educate and assist me in my business, but the best part is it’s FREE!  FREE to discuss issues.  FREE to view business webinars & download e-zines.  FREE to gather local information.  But, hey, I know you’re too busy … so I wouldn’t worry about this Twitter thing or Facebook … what a waste of time …

Coincidentally, I found this video explaining SM thru @monikamcg’s blog New Hampshire Real Estate.  Besides being a top-notch REALTOR for 25 years, Monika was recently installed as the New Hampshire Association of REALTORS 2010 President.  As busy as they are, she and her husband, Jay, (@acemaker) are always quick to support their friends thru social media!
